Scotland's L1 and L2 Certification Programme 2022

Professional learning pathways programme and funded exam vouchers for Digital leads and your staff peers to develop transformative skills

Our goal is to support every Digital Leader to become GCE certified and provide the tools to lead the certification process in their school.

By taking part, you’ll gain fully funded GCE exam vouchers for every staff member that takes part in the event and a support package that will uplevel skills and support with their GCE certification.

Programme overview

Google for Education will deliver a Google Certified Educator support programme in two cohorts of Scottish educators. The programme is focused on skills development relevant to Scottish teachers using Google Workspace for Education tools.

The process

Pathways to L1 and L2 certification

The programme will include an extensive period of support, equipping educators with the knowledge, skills and resources to support themselves and staff groups to achieve Google Certified Educator L1 and L2 certifications.

Celebration

As a bonus for completing Level 1 or Level 2, everyone who meets the certificate will also receive a Google for Education-branded badge and lanyard added to our leaderboard!

When do I begin?

Both Cohort 1 and 2 have launch events to allow you to discover more about the programme and ask any questions that you have.

Cohort 1 will take place before the summer holidays and each level will take place over one week.

Cohort 2 will begin in September for GCE Level 1 and November for GCE Level 2. Cohort 2's sessions are spaced out a week apart to allow participants the opportunity to explore the tools.

After each cohort are celebration events to celebrate those who have passed the exams and to offer support to those who still require help.
